Koop was a Swedish electro-jazz duo founded in 1995 by Oskar Simonsson and Magnus Singmark. Although their music sounds orchestral, it is entirely electronic and composed of thousands of short samples. Koop released several albums, including "Waltz for Koop" which became their most famous release. Their tracks, such as "Koop Island Blues" gained recognition in the lounge genre and were used in various films and commercials. The group ended its activity in 2011, having left a significant mark on electro-jazz music.
