King Tee (real name Roger McBride ) is an American hip hop artist from Compton, California, born in 1968. One of the first West Coast rappers, he signed with Capitol Records and released his debut album "Act a Fool" in 1988. Hits such as "Act a Fool" "Payback's A Mutha" and "The Coolest" have become hip hop classics. Working with producer DJ Pooh , he played a key role in promoting the group Tha Alkaholiks . King Tee is also the CEO of his own label King T Inc His contribution to the development of West Coast hip hop remains significant.
