Kavinsky is a French DJ and musician, born Венсан Пьер Клод Белорже , on July 31, 1975. A representative of the electronica genre, he draws inspiration from VHS zombie films, hip-hop, and 1980s funk. His work includes tracks in the style of electronic film soundtracks of that era. Kavinsky most famous hit is "Nightcall" which was featured on the soundtrack to the film "Drive" (2011). The artist's music and videos tell the story of a fictional character who dies in a car accident and returns to life 20 years later. Kavinsky has had a significant influence on the development of retrowave music.
