Karl Hyde is an English musician, composer, and artist born in 1957. He is best known as a founding member of the British electronic band Underworld , which gained worldwide fame with the track "Born Slippy .NUXX" In addition to his work with the band, Hyde has released a solo album and collaborated with artists such as Brian Eno and Matthew Herbert . In 2012, he collaborated with Rick Smith on the musical score for the opening ceremony of the London Summer Olympics. His contributions to electronic music have made him a significant figure in the genre.
