Karen Dalton

Karen Dalton (1937–1993) was an American country blues singer, guitarist, and banjo player. Originally from the United States, she became part of the 1960s folk scene in Greenwich Village, collaborating with artists such as Fred Neil , the Holy Modal Rounders , and Bob Dylan . Despite a lack of commercial success during her lifetime, her work gained recognition after her death. Her albums, such as "In My Own Time" became cult classics, and songs including "Something on Your Mind" inspired musicians such as Nick Cave and Devendra Banhart . Karen Dalton left a significant mark on folk rock, becoming an icon for subsequent generations of artists.
