Karen Clark Sheard is an American gospel singer and songwriter, born November 15, 1960. She is the youngest member of the gospel group The Clark Sisters , which formed in 1973. In addition to her work with the group, Karen Clark Sheard has released five solo albums. She is also known for her collaborations with her daughter, contemporary gospel singer and actress Kierra "Kiki" Sheard . Her work has had a significant influence on the development of gospel music, fusing traditional and contemporary elements of the genre.
