Kadim Al Sahir , born September 12, 1957, in Iraq, is a renowned singer and composer who holds dual citizenship in Canada and Qatar. He has earned the nicknames "Ambassador of Iraqi Song" and "Caesar of Arabic Song," both of which were bestowed upon him by Syrian poet Низар Каббани . Kadim Al Sahir composed virtually all of his songs himself, with the exception of a few created by other composers. His work spans decades and includes numerous hits that have made him an icon of Arabic music. Kadim Al Sahir has made a significant contribution to the preservation and development of traditional Arabic musical culture.
