
Junior Parker was an American blues singer and harmonica player born in 1932 in the United States. His style combined elements of blues, pop, and jazz, and his voice was often described as "honeyed" and "velvety smooth." During his career Junior Parker shifted from traditional blues to a more sophisticated blues-soul sound. His well-known songs include "Mystery Train" and "Next Time You See Me" In 2001, he was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame and the Mississippi Musicians Hall of Fame, recognizing his contribution to the genre.
