
Julien-K is an American synth-rock band formed in 2003 in Long Beach, California. Formed by Ryan Shuck and Amir Derakh, former members of Orgy , Julien-K was originally conceived as a side project, but became an independent band after the musicians left Orgy . The band's name refers to the character Julian Kaye from the film American Gigolo. The band is known for albums such as "Death to Analog" and their collaboration with Chester Bennington of Linkin Park . Julien-K has made significant contributions to the development of synth-rock, combining electronic elements with alternative sounds.
