
Jim Steinman Steinman was an American composer, record producer, and songwriter born in 1947. He is best known for his collaborations with Meat Loaf , for whom he wrote such hits as "Bat Out of Hell" and "I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That)" He also worked with Bonnie Tyler , creating the legendary compositions "Total Eclipse of the Heart" and "Holding Out for a Hero" His work had a significant influence on the development of rock music, combining drama and theatricality in his works.
