Jim Diamond was a Scottish singer and songwriter born in 1951. He rose to fame with his hits, which reached the top five of the UK charts. He performed "I Won't Let You Down" with the band PhD , and his solo compositions "I Should Have Known Better" and "Hi Ho Silver" reached numbers one and five on the UK Singles Chart in 1984 and 1986, respectively. "Hi Ho Silver" also served as the theme song for the television series Boon . Jim Diamond made a significant contribution to the development of pop music and British rock.
