
Jeff Tweedy is an American musician, songwriter, and producer born in 1967 in Belleville, Illinois. He is best known as the lead singer and guitarist of the band Wilco. Tweedy began his musical journey in high school with the band The Plebes, which later evolved into the alternative country group Uncle Tupelo, co-founded with Jay Farrar. After Uncle Tupelo disbanded, he formed Wilco, achieving critical acclaim with albums like "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot".
