IZ*ONE is a South Korean-Japanese project girl group formed in 2018 through the reality survival show Produce 48 The group consisted of 12 members: nine Korean girls from various agencies and three members of the Japanese idol group AKB48 . IZ*ONE debuted on October 29, 2018, with the mini-album Color*Iz , which achieved commercial success. Over the course of their two-and-a-half years, the group released several albums, including "BLOOM*IZ" , and received numerous awards, such as Mnet Asian Music Awards . IZ*ONE made significant contributions to the popularization of K-pop and J-pop before officially disbanding on April 29, 2021.
