Israel Philharmonic Orchestra is Israel's leading symphony orchestra, founded in 1936. The orchestra's creation was initiated by virtuoso violinist Бронислав Губерман , who invited European musicians to form the first permanent orchestra in Palestine. Initially, the orchestra was called Палестинский симфонический оркестр . Its first concert took place on December 26, 1936, in Tel Aviv under the baton of Italian conductor Артуро Тосканини .
