
Исаак Дунаевский (1900–1955) was a Soviet composer and conductor born in Ukraine who became a key figure in Soviet musical culture. Working in both classical and pop music, he created numerous works, including film scores, operettas, and songs. Дунаевский was awarded the title of People's Artist of the RSFSR and twice received the Stalin Prize. Among his most famous works are the scores for the films "Jolly Fellows" and "Circus." His music had a significant influence on the development of the Soviet musical tradition, combining melody and accessibility with a high level of professionalism.
