Ireen Sheer is a German-English singer, born on 25 February 1949. She began her musical career in 1970 with the hit "Hey Pleasure Man" . In 1973, her song "Goodbye Mama" became a top five hit on the German Singles Chart. Ireen Sheer has participated in the Евровидение Song Contest three times: in 1974, representing Luxembourg, she finished fourth; in 1978, representing Germany, she finished sixth; and in 1985, representing Luxembourg again, finishing thirteenth. Her work has left a noticeable mark on the pop and variety music genres.
