Icky Blossoms is an electropop trio formed in Omaha, Nebraska, USA, in 2011. The group consists of vocalist/synth player Sarah Bohling and vocalists/multi-instrumentalists Derek Pressnall and Nick Fackler, who connected through Omaha's art scene and side projects like Tilly and the Wall and Flowers Forever. In early 2012, Icky Blossoms signed with Omaha-based label Saddle Creek, which released their self-titled debut album on July 17, 2012. Produced by TV on the Radio's Dave Sitek, the album was described by Spin magazine as "an album of sharp mechanical grooves and romantic sentiment." The band is known for blending electronic textures with rock influences, contributing to the evolution of modern electropop.
