Hole is an American alternative rock band formed in 1989 in the United States by Courtney Love and Eric Erlandson. The band gained recognition for its raw sound and provocative lyrics, which explored themes of feminism, personal struggles, and social issues. Their album "Live Through This" (1994), received critical acclaim and featured hits such as "Doll Parts" and "Violet" The band also released the successful album "Celebrity Skin" (1998), the title track of which became one of their most famous songs.
