Heitor Pereira is a Brazilian composer, songwriter, musician, arranger, and music producer, born on November 29, 1960. Known for his work in film scores, Pereira has collaborated with renowned artists such as Elton John, Rod Stewart, and Milton Nascimento. He was also a member of Simply Red, contributing guitar and live backing vocals, notably on the song "Thrill Me". Currently, he is part of Hans Zimmer's studio team and is best known for composing the scores for the "Despicable Me" franchise. His work has significantly enriched the world of animated film music and soundtracks.
