Hans-Joachim Roedelius is a German electronic musician and composer, born on October 26, 1934. He is best known as a founder and member of the influential bands Cluster and Harmonia , which played a key role in the development of the kosmische genre. Roedelius also performed with the ambient jazz trio Aquarello and released numerous solo albums exploring new age and electronic influences. His work has had a significant influence on the development of electronic and ambient music, inspiring generations of musicians.
