HammerFall is a Swedish band founded in 1993 by guitarist Оскаром Дроньяком . The band plays heavy metal and power metal. Vocalist Йоаким Канс joined the band in 1996, marking a turning point in their career. HammerFall songs focus on medieval knights, battles, and heroism. Their early albums featured fast-paced power metal, while their later works incorporate elements of more measured heavy metal. The band made a significant contribution to the popularization of epic metal, remaining one of the genre's key figures until their retirement in 2012.
