Hal Ketchum was an American country singer and songwriter born in 1953 in the United States. Known for his storytelling and folk influences, he released eleven studio albums between 1986 and 2014, with nine under Curb Records. His 1991 album Past the Point of Rescue achieved gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America. From 1991 to 2006, he charted 17 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs, including three that peaked at No. 2: "Small Town Saturday Night", "Past the Point of Rescue", and "Hearts Are Gonna Roll". Hal Ketchum left a lasting mark on country music with his heartfelt lyrics and folk-inspired sound.
