Guano Apes is an alternative rock quartet from Göttingen, Germany, formed in 1994. Consisting of vocalist Сандры Насич , guitarist Хеннинга Рюмена , bassist Штефана Уде , and drummer Денниса Пошвата , the band rose to prominence after winning the "Local Heroes" competition. Their debut album "Proud Like a God" (1997), featured the hits "Open Your Eyes" and "Lords of the Boards" which became international successes. Guano Apes contributed significantly to the popularization of alternative rock and nu metal in Europe.
