
Great White is an American hard rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1977 by vocalist Jack Russell and guitarist Mark Kendall. The band gained prominence in the late 1980s with several successful albums. Their 1987 release, "Once Bitten…", achieved platinum status in the United States and featured the hit single "Rock Me". Another notable track, "Once Bitten, Twice Shy", became a fan favorite and received heavy rotation on MTV. Great White is recognized for their contributions to the hard rock genre, blending blues influences with powerful vocals and guitar-driven melodies.
