God Dethroned is a Dutch metal band founded in 1991 by vocalist and guitarist Henri Sattler . Their debut album The Christhunt was released on the German label Shark Records , but the project was temporarily put on hold. After working with Ministry of Terror , Henri Sattler revived God Dethroned with a new lineup. The lineup signed with Metal Blade , where their second album The Grand Grimoire , was released. The band made significant contributions to the development of extreme metal, combining aggressive riffs with dark lyrics.
