Goatwhore is an American blackened death metal band formed in 1997 in the United States by vocalist and guitarist Sammy Duet after the disbandment of his previous band, Acid Bath . The original lineup included vocalist L. Ben Falgoust II , guitarist Ben Stout , bassist Patrick Bruders , and drummer Zak Nolan . The band released a demo, "Serenades to the Tides of Blood" in 1998. Their first two albums were released on Rotten Records , and since their third album "A Haunting Curse" the band has collaborated with Metal Blade Records . Goatwhore has made a significant contribution to the development of extreme metal, combining elements of blackened and death metal.
