He is best known as a founding member of the rock band Eagles, where he co-wrote many of their iconic songs. As part of Eagles, he contributed to hits like "Hotel California" and "Take It Easy". The band achieved massive success, earning multiple Grammy Awards and becoming one of the best-selling acts in history. Frey also had a successful solo career with hits such as "The Heat Is On". His work left a lasting impact on rock and pop music. He passed away on January 18, 2016.
