Ghinzu is a Belgian rock band founded in 1999 in Brussels by John Stargasm. The band rose to prominence with their second album, "Blow" which had gained popularity across Europe by 2005. Ghinzu music combines melodic motifs with heavy guitar riffs, powerful bass, dramatic piano, and vibrant noise effects. The band's initial lineup included John Stargasm , Kris Dane , Fabrice Georges , and Greg Remy . The band's name is inspired by a Japanese knife company with the motto, "The more you use it, the sharper it gets." Ghinzu have made a significant contribution to the development of European alternative rock.
