Георгий Гаранян (1934–2010) was a Soviet and Russian jazz saxophonist of Armenian descent. Born in the USSR, he became known as a composer, arranger, conductor, and bandleader. Гаранян served as artistic director of several musical ensembles and was awarded the title of People's Artist of the Russian Federation. His work spanned jazz, classical, and pop music. Гаранян made a significant contribution to the development of jazz in Russia, leaving behind a rich musical legacy.
