Eugene Wright , also known as Senator Eugene Wright , was an American jazz bassist born on May 29, 1923. He is best known as a member of the Дэйва Брубека Quartet, where he played a key role in creating the group's unique sound. His contributions are particularly notable on the legendary composition "Take Five" which has become one of the most famous jazz pieces in history. Wright collaborated with numerous prominent musicians and left a significant mark on jazz before his death on December 30, 2020. His work helped popularize jazz and inspire generations of musicians.
