Gambi is a French rapper of Algerian descent, born on January 12, 1998, in Fontenay-sous-Bois. He works in the hip-hop and rap genres. His musical career began in 2018 with a series of videos Makak , published on YouTube. In 2019, he signed with the label Rec. 118 , a division of Warner Music France . The singles "Hé oh" and "Popopop" became hits, topping the French SNEP chart. Also in 2019, Gambi became the face of the afterhomework brand at Paris Fashion Week. His work has contributed to the popularization of French hip-hop.
