(G)I-DLE is a South Korean girl group formed in 2018 by Cube Entertainment . The group initially consisted of six members: Soyeon, Miyeon, Minnie, Yuqi, Shuhua, and Soojin. However, Soojin left the group on August 14, 2021. They debuted on May 2, 2018, with the EP I Am , which included the hit track "LATATA" (G)I-DLE quickly gained popularity for their unique style and diverse musical experimentation. The group made significant contributions to the development of K-pop, combining traditional and modern elements of the genre.
