Freshlyground is a South African music group founded in Cape Town in 2002. The band brings together musicians from South Africa, Mozambique, and Zimbabwe, which is reflected in their unique sound. The group gained international recognition thanks to their collaboration with Shakira on "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)" the official anthem of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
