
Freddie Jackson is an American R&B, soul, and pop singer born on October 2, 1956, in New York City. He began his professional music career in the late 1970s as part of the California-based funk group Mystic Merlin. Jackson rose to fame in the 1980s with a string of R&B hits, including "Rock Me Tonight", "You Are My Lady", "Jam Tonight", and "Do Me Again". He also contributed the duet "Love Survives" with Irene Cara to the soundtrack of the 1989 film "All Dogs Go to Heaven". Jackson's smooth vocals and romantic ballads have solidified his place in R&B history.
