Faye Wong , also known as Ван Фэй , is a Chinese pop singer and actress born on August 8, 1969, in Beijing. At the age of 20, she moved to Hong Kong, where she began her music career. Since 1995, Faye Wong has recorded songs primarily in Mandarin Chinese, experimenting with various styles based on Chinese pop. Her most famous hits include "Red Bean" and "Eyes on Me," the latter of which was featured on the soundtrack for the video game Final Fantasy VIII . Faye Wong has made a significant contribution to the popularization of Chinese pop music on the international stage.
