Elbow is a British indie band from Manchester, formed in 1990. They perform psychedelic Britpop with elements of prog rock, and frontman Гая Гарви lyrics are distinguished by their irony and wit. Since the release of their debut album, the band has received critical acclaim: Under The Radar magazine called them "Britain's smartest band," and NME deemed their third album a "masterpiece." Their fans include members of U2 , REM , Blur , and even Джон Кейл , who included their song among his favorites. Elbow have made a significant contribution to the development of intelligent indie rock.
