Elastica was a British rock band formed in 1992 in London, England. Known for their alternative rock sound infused with elements of first-wave punk rock, the group gained prominence with their self-titled debut album, which topped the UK Album Charts. Three of their singles, including "Connection", reached the top 20 of the UK Singles Chart. Active until 2001, Elastica left a lasting impact on the Britpop and alternative rock scenes of the 1990s.
