Ektomorf is a Hungarian groove metal band formed in 1994 by brothers Zoltán and Csaba Farkas. Their debut album, " Hangok ," combined groove metal, nu metal, and gypsy ethnic music, bringing the band popularity in Hungary. The following album, the self-titled " Ektomorf ," achieved success in Europe. In 2000, the trio, with new drummer József Szakács, released " Kalyi Jag ," which received critical acclaim. The band's music is often compared to Sepultura and Soulfly for its aggressive riffs and socio-critical lyrics. Ektomorf made a significant contribution to the development of groove metal, adding ethnic elements to the genre.
