She is known as a performer of Russian folk songs and holds the honorary title of People's Artist of the Russian Federation. Екатерина Шаврина is the only Soviet singer to have twice performed solo concerts in the United Nations Conference Hall. Her repertoire includes numerous folk songs, which she has performed on major stages in the USSR and abroad. Шаврина has made a significant contribution to the preservation and popularization of Russian folk musical traditions.
