Edge of Sanity

Edge of Sanity

Edge of Sanity was a Swedish death metal band formed in 1989 in Finspång, Sweden. Known for their innovative approach to the genre, they blended traditional death metal with progressive elements. The band was led by vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Dan Swanö, a prominent figure in the metal scene. Their 1996 album "Crimson", a single 40-minute track, is considered a landmark in progressive death metal. Other notable albums include "Purgatory Afterglow" and "The Spectral Sorrows". Edge of Sanity disbanded in 2003 but left a lasting impact on the evolution of death metal, influencing countless bands with their genre-defying sound.
