Duff McKagan, born Michael Andrew McKagan on February 5, 1964, in the United States, is an American rock musician and journalist. Best known for his 13-year tenure as the bassist of Guns N' Roses, he contributed to iconic albums like "Appetite for Destruction" and "Use Your Illusion I & II". Currently, he plays bass for Velvet Revolver and Jane's Addiction, and leads his punk rock project, Duff McKagan’s Loaded. Additionally, he writes columns for SeattleWeekly.com and Playboy.com. Recognized by Rolling Stone as one of the greatest bassists of all time, McKagan has left a lasting mark on rock music.
