Doves is a British alt-rock band from Manchester, formed in 1998. The band consists of twin brothers Jez and Andy Williams, along with Jimi Goodwin. Martin Rebelski also serves as a touring and session keyboardist. From 2000 to 2009, Doves released four studio albums, two of which reached number one on the UK Albums Chart. In 2010, the band released the compilation album "The Places Between: The Best of Doves" a summation of their work. Doves made a significant contribution to the development of the British alternative scene, combining melodicism with an experimental approach.
