Don Blackman was an American jazz-funk pianist, singer, and songwriter born on September 1, 1953, in the United States. His work spanned the genres of R&B and jazz-funk. Don Blackman collaborated with such prominent artists and groups as Parliament-Funkadelic , Ленни Уайт , Маркус Миллер , Стинг , Мэри Джей Блайдж , Earth, Wind and Fire , and Луис Хейс . His 1982 self-titled album became a cult classic among funk music lovers. Don Blackman left a significant mark on the development of jazz-funk, inspiring musicians around the world.
