DJ Khalil is an American hip-hop and soul producer from Los Angeles, California, born in 1973. He is one half of the hip-hop duo Self Scientific and a member of The New Royales , which includes Liz Rodrigues , Erik Alcock , and Pranam Chin Injeti . DJ Khalil has produced such landmark albums as Eminem 's "Recovery" and "The Marshall Mathers LP 2" , as well as Aloe Blacc 's multi-platinum single "The Man" His contributions to the development of hip-hop and soul have made him one of the genre's most respected producers.
