Даррелл Лэнс Эбботт , better known as Dimebag Darrell , was an American musician born in 1966. He co-founded the groove metal bands Pantera and Damageplan , which he formed with his brother, Винни Полом . His virtuoso guitar playing and contributions to the development of the groove metal genre made him a cult figure in the world of heavy music. Among Pantera best-known works are the albums "Cowboys from Hell" and "Vulgar Display of Power" . On December 8, 2004, Dimebag Darrell tragically died at a Damageplan concert in Columbus. His legacy continues to inspire musicians worldwide.
