Deodato is a Brazilian composer, pianist, arranger, and producer born in 1943. His work spans the genres of jazz, funk, and crossover jazz. He is best known for his arrangements and interpretations of classical works, such as "Also Sprach Zarathustra (2001)" which earned him a Grammy Award. Deodato has collaborated with artists such as Frank Sinatra , Roberta Flack , and Earth, Wind & Fire . His contributions to the development of pop jazz and crossover jazz made him one of the most influential musicians of his time.
