Default is a Canadian rock band formed in Vancouver in 1999. The band works in the alternative and foreign rock genres. Over the course of their career Default has released four studio albums, which have sold over a million copies. The band gained its core audience in Canada but also achieved brief success in the US thanks to the single "Wasting My Time" which became their most famous hit. Default contributed to the development of alternative rock, combining melody with energetic guitar riffs.
