David Cole (1962–1995) was an American songwriter and record producer who worked in the pop music genre. He is best known as one half of the dance duo C+C Music Factory , which he founded with Robert Clivillés . The duo achieved immense success with hits such as "Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)" . In addition to his work as a duo, David Cole produced hits for artists such as Mariah Carey , Aretha Franklin , James Brown , and Deborah Cooper . His contribution to the pop and dance music scenes of the 1990s remains significant.
