
David Byron (real name David Garrick ) was a British rock musician born in 1947. He rose to prominence as the lead singer of the hard rock band Uriah Heep , with whom he recorded their first nine studio albums, including hits such as "Easy Livin'" and "July Morning" Prior to this, he began his career with the band Spice . After leaving Uriah Heep David Byron attempted to develop a solo career but was unsuccessful. His life was tragically cut short in 1985 due to the effects of alcoholism. David Byron left a significant mark on hard rock, becoming one of the genre's defining voices.
