
David Alexander was an American musician born on June 3, 1947. He is best known as the bassist for the proto-punk band The Stooges, a group that emerged from Ann Arbor, Michigan. Active during the late 1960s and early 1970s, David Alexander contributed to the band’s groundbreaking albums, including "The Stooges" (1969) and "Fun House" (1970). His basslines were integral to the raw and energetic sound that defined the early punk movement. Despite his untimely death on February 10, 1975, his work with The Stooges remains influential in the evolution of alternative and punk rock music.
